Summer 2009 marked the first year of the YWCA Warren Camp Discover, a school age child care summer camp licensed through the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services.  Camp Discover is open to youth in grades K-7 throughout Trumbull County. 

This fun summer program offers children a safe, structured and enriching opportunity during those months that they are out of school. They participate in literacy, music, dance, cultural arts, physical recreation, and character and life skill development activities. 

Campers take routine walking trips to Perkins Park for outdoor recreation and exploration, to the YMCA for swimming, to the Warren Public Library for their Summer Reading Program, and all of the Cultural Community events that the City of Warren has to offer. In addition, campers receive breakfast and lunch as part of the program, made possible through the Warren City School District, Summer Feeding Program.
