Before and After School Program

YWCA Warren provides Before and After School Enrichment Program in Warren City Schools

The YWCA Warren continues to collaborate with Warren City Schools to provide a before and after school enrichment program for the students in grades K-5.  The YWCA Warren provides programming at Lincoln K-8 School, Jefferson K-8 School, Jefferson site, McGuffey K-8 School, Emerson site and Willard Avenue K-8 School.   The Lincoln K-8 School Program became a licensed School Age Child Care Program through the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services on June 10, 2009.  As the Warren City School District completes the transition into their four K-8 School structure, the YWCA Warren will pursue licenses for the remaining three K-8 buildings.

We are pleased that the district and its’ families have chosen to include us in the growth and development of these children.

The YWCA Warren Board and staff believe that providing this service in Warren is crucial, as we are in a time when families are forced to spend far more hours in the workplace in order to provide for their families. We believe that by providing before and after school enrichment in the school attended by children, during those early and late hours that parents are forced to be at work, will help to ease the burden that families face.  In addition, the YWCA Warren will provide quality, trained staff that will take care to meet the health and safety needs of each child entrusted in our care.

The YWCA Warren Before and After School Program includes: homework time, physical recreation time, snack, academic enrichment, character and cultural diversity development and crafts.

NEW FEATURES for 2009-2010:

Any family that has registered their children and paid the $15 registration fee may utilize any program features to include:

All day programming at the YWCA Warren on SNOW DAYS, CONFERENCE COMP and CLERICAL DAYS,   from 6:00 am -6:00 pm.  The cost is $25 per child, per day.

Extended day programming to be offered at each program site on EARLY RELEASE DAYS from dismissal to 6:00 pm.  The cost is $15 per child, per day.
